BURTON, MI — One man is dead and one man was injured after a shooting Saturday afternoon outside a gas station in Burton, police said.
Officers with the Burton Police Department responded around 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3 to the Speedway gas station near the intersection of Bristol and Center roads for a shooting incident.
Police said one of the victims has been pronounced deceased.
A second victim was injured and taken to Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc Township, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening in nature, police said.
Several shell casings were marked off with yellow placards in the gas station’s parking lot, surrounded with crime scene tape and people looking for information for police.
A yellow tarp covered an SUV next to one of the gas pumps.
Glass from the back window of another vehicle that’d been shot out littered the ground.
No suspect information was immediately available.
The incident remain under investigation by Burton police.
