The Polk County Health Department says on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s its drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic is designated to those needing a second dose.But that is not all. The Thursday before they need the second dose an email will be sent alerting individuals to go online and make that second dose appointment.That is only for people who have received the first dose from Polk County Health.If you get the first vaccination from a HyVee Pharmacy the specific pharmacy where you got the first vaccination will contact individuals to set up a second does appointment.Again, that is only if you get the first dose from a HyVee Pharmacist.At the Medicap Pharmacy in Urbandale, the priority is getting those needing a second dose of that vaccination. They will work in 1B individuals as supply allows.David Davidson was getting his second dose of the covid vaccine Wednesday morning. The dentist for some four decades knows supply is tight and demand is high. Still, he is pretty confident those who need the second does will be able to get it. “It’s all going to work out.”
